On October 12-14, 2011 Dell held its first annual Dell World Solutions exposition in Austin, TX where key executives and innovators from companies such as Allure Global Solutions, Inc., Amcom Software, Blue Coat Systems, DIGIOP, Inc., Emerson, Falconstor, General Dynamics, Imagine Communications, Kove, Proofpoint, RGB Networks, Scale Computing, ScienceLogic, Trixter, Unisys, Xerox, Microsoft, and Intel came together to share, connect, collaborate and inspire each other. These industry leaders were able to discuss the latest trends in social, cloud and mobile technologies as well as explore how to adapt to the rapidly changing technological and social landscapes.
The Dell Retail team partnered with DIGIOP, Inc. to showcase how the DIGIOP ELEMENTS platform can enable retailers to actively stay ahead of their technology-savvy customer base. Attendees were able to experience, first-hand, how incorporating video with data from point of sale devices and 3D counting into one dashboard will allow them to optimize their business and get immediate feedback and knowledge about retail operations. The team used DIGIOP ELEMENTS to record activity, POS transactions, count people, and create traffic as well as dwell time maps as attendees passed the booth. This data, along with collected point of sale (POS) data, allowed attendees to see real-time conversion rates and POS exception base queries using DIGIOP Connect search filters.
Much of Dell World 2011 focused on cloud computing. In concert with that theme, DIGIOP also demonstrated how DIGIOP Control utilizes a web based portal for video and data management. DIGIOP control enables users to configure systems, cameras, users, data sets and permissions across single or multi-site enterprises from anywhere they have access to the cloud. The real power of DIGIOP control is in its ability to utilize the cloud so administrators can manage their video data management systems remotely, securely and reliably all in one place and focus on building their bottom line.
Overall, the Dell World Expo was a great conference in which we heard from industry icons such as Paul Otellini CEO of Intel, Steve Balimer CEO of Microsoft, Vivek Kundra CIO of the United States Government and Michael Dell CEO of Dell Computers. It was a fantastic opportunity to see, hear, and interact with the thought leaders of our industry to gain insight of future capabilities and emerging trends so we can stay innovative and competitive in our market. DIGIOP also participated in a special Dell OEM track wich gave us one-on-one access to CTO’s from around the globe. This conference was an excellent chance for networking and collaboration - we are already working with our new connections to develop the next generation of DIGIOP solutions.
At the expo we had the opportunity to speak and interact with attendees. In just a two hour span on Tuesday we had over 1,300 attendees pass by our booth. Hearing from and watching them interact with our solutions enabled us to listen to their challenges and give them hands on experience as to how DIGIOP could help solve those problems. Overall this was a fresh and invigorating week where imagination and creativity soared and excited us all on not only what value and bring to our customer and partners today, but also what we can do for them tomorrow.
