The DIGIOP Management Team
DIGIOP is proudly led by a number of talented industry veterans.
Rich Mellott | President
Rich is responsible for the strategic direction, day-to-day operations, and growth of DIGIOP. Rich brings 18 years of experience in high-tech manufacturing, operations, sales and marketing, and technology design, of which 10 years have been in the video security industry.
Prior to being asked to lead DIGIOP, Rich was responsible for the direction of the Digital Video and Software platforms for Integral Technologies (now part of Pelco).
In 2003, Rich was hired as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing for General Solutions. He led the sales development and marketing strategy for the company. By the end of 2004, Rich and his team had grown the company’s VAR sales by 200% and in addition had restructured internal groups including customer service, technical support, account management, marketing communications, product marketing and management.
From 1998 to 2003, Rich led the marketing and initiatives for video-related products, technology and message for the sales and marketing product groups at Philips CSI (now Bosch CCTV Security Division).
Mike Compton | Vice President of Sales
Mike joined DIGIOP in March of 2011. He leads the overall sales direction for the company which includes the strategy and development of our channel business. This includes a focus on strengthening national accounts and distributor relationships. He also manages the field sales force and oversee the inside sales operations.
He brings over 10 years of experience in Enterprise sales, channel management, and business development. Mike joined DIGIOP from Supercircuits, where he served as Vice President of Sales, mainly focusing on the channel development and growth of the SC BLACK product initiative.
Prior to working for Supercircuits, he spent over six years at Integral Technologies where he managed the National Accounts Program. Prior to that position, Mike helped build the foundation for the distribution sales channel and worked extensively with the dealer network.
Mike is an Indiana University alumni, where he earned degrees in both Business and Criminal Justice.
Cesar Gonzalez | Vice President of Sales, International
Cesar has been instrumental in developing widespread international brand recognition of DIGIOP’s products. He brings over 15 years of experience in international marketing in the CCTV, Access Control, Fire and Burglary markets.
He has worked for DIGIOP since July 2003. Prior to joining DIGIOP, Cesar was Director of Marketing at Honeywell International, Video Division.
As VP of Sales, International, Cesar is responsible for successfully marketing the DIGIOP brand across the Latin America region and beyond. Cesar holds bachelor degrees in electronic engineering and electromechanical engineering, as well as a vast number of factory training certifications from the security industry.
Tim Marks | Vice President of Product Development
Tim is chartered with leading DIGIOP’s agile software development team. Tim has 19 years of software development experience, including 11 years in the video software and security industry.
Tim has pursued his passion for video software development including the last 5+ years at Integral Technologies (now part of Pelco). While at Integral, Tim was responsible for the software architecture and design of the video management software.
With a strong focus on teamwork, communication, and code-sharing, Tim's team revamped and restructured the video product line, adding IP camera support, audio, a new 3rd party integration API, and new video viewing client software.
Tim has also focused on the area of video/data integration, designing the product that allows association of video and data from diverse sources such as POS devices, scales, and video analytics engines. This integration allows customers to use the associated data to quickly find the desired video.
J.D. Story | Founder
J.D. Story founded DIGIOP Technologies (formerly General Solutions)with Trey Schwarz in 2000. J.D. has been an integral part of the development of the cutting edge software technology upon which DIGIOP is built. Building on over a decade of entrepreneurial experience, J.D. has helped DIGIOP develop into a world leader in IP digital video and voice management.
Prior to forming DIGIOP, J.D. was founder and CEO of JetFill, Inc. An owner of 5 U.S. patents, under J.D.’s leadership JetFill grew into a $20 million company, with over 150 employees. Turbon International acquired JetFill in 1999 at which time J.D. and Trey formed Monarch Security, the 86th largest independent security integration company. Monarch Security was sold in 2006.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, J.D. holds a B.A. in Biology, as well as an M.B.A. from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas.
