Issue Identification: Remote Manger: Displaying the same camera on all images
Issue Description: If the customer is only getting the same camera to display on all images in Remote Manger then they have the Panorama Playback Mode enabled on the client (See Image 1A).
Issue Resolution: Disable the Panorama Playback Mode by clicking on Tools/Options/Miscellaneous Tab/ and uncheck Enable Panorama Playback Mode.
Issue Identification: Reset Usernames/Passwords to default
Issue Description: Customer has forgotten their Username/Password for the Admin and needs to get into the system to make modifications.
Issue Resolution:
- Exit the Digiop software by holding SHIFT + ALT + 0 + 9 simultaneously and then releasing. Then press and hold CTRL + ALT + 0 + 9 simultaneously then release. This procedure will allow access to the Windows desktop.
- Exit NETBACKUP AGENT in the windows toolbar.
- Locate D:\DiSSTech\DiSS and delete the DiSSUserList.ini file (See Image 1A).
- Log back into the Digiop software and click on the Log In icon. The customer will be prompted to recreate the login name to their preference (See Image 1B).
Issue Identification: Choppy/Lagging video on the DIGIOP server software
Issue Description: If the video is noticeably choppy/lagging onthe DIGIOP server software and not on the Remote Manager, it could berelated to a setting in the dissfactory.ini file.
Issue Resolution: First, verify that FPS is not set at anabnormally low rate, which could also cause similar symptoms. If theFPS is set not the issue then follow steps below. (Also, changing this setting will affect the load on your processor)
Steps:
- Exit the DIGIOP software
- Exit the NETBACKUP AGENT on the Windows tool bar
- Locate C:\DiSSTech\Bin\dissfactory.ini
- Locate DecodeIFramesOnly=1 and change to DecodeIFramesOnly=0, then save file. (See Image 1A)
The IP Camera sends frame in compressed format and in order to display frame we need to decode and display it. The decoding requires lot of processing power. In general if we display all the frames from IP camera we can do it till 8 channels without any problem but if we need to display more than that, it requires more processing power. In order to avoid this situation we came up with a solution to display only I frames of IP cameras so we can display all 32 channels without facing CPU utilization issue.
DecodeIFramesOnly=1 or No Entry ==> Means it will display only I frames
DecodeIFramesOnly=0 ==> Means it will display all the frames - Launch DIGIOP server software.
Issue Identification: Retaining recorded video data when primary hard drive fails on a multiple hard drive system.
Issue Description: If a customer has a DVR with multiple Hard Drives and the main operating Hard Drive crashes, they can still retain the data on all secondary Hard Drives.
Issue Resolution:
Steps:
1.Power down the DVR through Windows
2.Remove the defective HDD and replace with new HDD
3.Unplug the secondary drives (See Image 1)
4.Boot to Recovery CD and run an option#2 recovery (This will format and properly partition the new HDD)
5.Enter in the License located on the DIGIOP sticker (See Image 2)
6.Select Activate DIGIOP 7 (See Image 3)
7.Select Activate DIGIOP 7 Online if you have network access. If you do not have network access select Activate By Phone and call DIGIOP Technical Support 800-968-3606. (See Image 4)
8.Power down the DVR through Windows after the recovery process is finished
9.Plug the secondary HDD's back in properly
10.Power on the DVR
11.System may ask for the license again (See Step 7)
12.You can search the older video from secondary drives or locate in windows explorer under (drive letter)/Disstech/Diss/ (See Image 5)
